This 4K dual-monitor DisplayPort adapter supports Ultra HD video resolutions up to 4K x 2K (3840 x 2160) at 60 Hz for crystal-clear picture and sound on two DisplayPort monitors. Or you can connect to one 5K monitor at video resolutions up to 5K x 2K (5120 x 2880) at 60 Hz for an even sharper image. The MTB3-002-DP is compatible with HDCP 2.2 and DisplayPort 1.4 standards for carrying HDR (high dynamic range) signals. It also supports 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for top-level PC gaming or using your HDTV as a PC monitor, as well as 48-bit Deep Color (16 bits per channel). Because the adapter supports both video and audio, no additional cabling is needed for sound.

Unlike traditional USB cables that connect in only one direction, the reversible male connector plugs into a Thunderbolt 3 port in either direction for a fumble-free connection every time. Thunderbolt 3 is eight times faster than USB 3.0 with four times the video bandwidth of HDMI. Note: if connected to a USB-C port, this adapter will not provide video output. It works only if connected to a Thunderbolt 3 port.
