The EMC Symmetrix Management Suite includes Unisphere, Symmetrix Management Console/Symmetrix Performance Analyzer, Symmetrix Manager and z/OS Storage Manager.

EMC Symmetrix Management Console and Symmetrix Performance Analyzer simplify management and provide advanced monitoring capabilities for Symmetrix environments. Symmetrix Management Console is an intuitive, browser-based graphical interface for performance device management on Symmetrix systems. It can be hosted on a small Windows server and accessed via a Web browser anywhere in the world. Symmetrix Management Console's lightweight architecture is an ideal graphical complement to the command line interface (CLI). Symmetrix Management Console and EMC Ionix ControlCenter Symmetrix Manager are sold together in the Symmetrix Management bundle. Both products can perform device management of the Symmetrix system simultaneously. Symmetrix Performance Analyzer is an automated monitoring and trending tool launched through Symmetrix Management Console to assist in long-term planning, diagnostic drill down to identify performance issues root causes, and real-time monitoring. It provides intuitive analysis of key performance indicators at the application level to optimize performance and improve utilization of your Symmetrix environment.

Symmetrix Manager gives you maximum control over your Symmetrix environment, allowing you to make configuration changes instantaneously to meet evolving business needs. Symmetrix Manager can also be used to reassign volumes to alternate ports to alleviate potential bottlenecks or realign resources in response to business requirements. Hosts can be connected to the Symmetric and easily brought online via the console. Automation of these tasks can also be accomplished via the command line interface. Symmetrix Manager provides proactive alert management on the health and performance of your Symmetrix system. These alerts go down to the performance level, including physical disks, devices, front- and back-end directors and ports.

EMC z/OS Storage Manager simplifies storage-related resource management. It is a mainframe services management tool that monitors and reports on Symmetrix mainframe storage from the z/OS operating system perspective. EzSM aids in efficiently planning storage resources by utilizing the mainframe's Interactive System Productivity Facility (ISPF) interface.
