MOVEit EZ is a unique secure transfer client that moves files on a scheduled, automated, firewall-friendly basis with minimal user involvement. One of the things that make MOVEit EZ unique is its use of the HTTPS protocol. This enables MOVEit EZ to communicate through a single firewall port. This is the same port that web browsers use for secure connections, so it is almost always open. In comparison, clients that use the FTP over SSL protocol require use of a large number of firewall ports, none of which are typically open. Getting and keeping them open can be an ongoing operational challenge, especially when the firewalls belong to business partners and customers.

This MOVEit EZ is a Windows-based file transfer client that is easy to install, use, and support - and is very secure. MOVEit EZ is intended to automatically transfer files on a scheduled basis to and from a single server. MOVEit EZ is designed for quick and easy installation. It comes with configuration settings that work 'as is' in most situations, but can be pre-configured and/or re-branded for custom use. MOVEit EZ can be run in the foreground or as a service. A MOVEit EZ icon in the Windows system tray blinks and changes to alert the user to the status and outcome of file transfers.

MOVEit EZ can manage as many as fifteen automated file transfer tasks, each with its own schedule and set of rules for handling files. Each can be used to upload or download files between one or more local folders and one or more folders on a server. Files are transferred after they appear in the appropriate folder. There are no limits on the number, type, or size of the files sent, and there is no need to create, modify, or use any batch files or scripts.
