SOMERSET, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SHI International Corp., one of North America’s top 10 largest IT solutions providers, hit $2.47 billion in revenue in Q3 to help the company reach over $7 billion year to date—18 percent higher year over year. Both cloud services and data center and networking solutions drove SHI’s growth in Q3 as more organizations adopt hybrid cloud infrastructure.

Microsoft Azure and AWS led cloud growth, with 147 percent and 62 percent growth year over year, respectively. In August, SHI achieved AWS Storage Competency Status, a designation that recognizes SHI’s ability to provide proven AWS Services and Support to help customers successfully achieve their storage goals on AWS.

Achieving the AWS Storage Competency differentiates SHI as an AWS Partner Network (APN) member with extensive domain expertise in one or more of the following core storage categories – Backup & Recovery, Primary Storage, Archive, or Business Continuance/Disaster Recovery (BCDR), having developed innovative technology and solutions that leverage AWS services. To receive the designation, APN Partners must possess AWS expertise and deliver solutions seamlessly on AWS.

In addition to cloud growth, four of SHI’s top 10 partners with a data center and networking focus—Dell, Cisco, Lenovo, and HP Enterprise—grew at least 20 percent. Other hardware and OEM-based partners help round out the top 10 for Q3, which included Microsoft, HP Inc., Adobe, VMware, Apple, and Amazon, all of which experienced significant growth. Among SHI’s top 25 partners, Pure Storage and Nutanix grew 83 percent and 105 percent respectively.

“In the early days of cloud, some predictions envisioned a future of dwindling data centers and hardware needs. So far, that hasn’t been the case, as SHI’s cloud and data center businesses have been growing in tandem,” said Thai Lee, President and CEO of SHI. “While many of our customers are taking advantage of the flexibility and cost-efficiency of the cloud, they also have workloads that aren’t cloud-ready for any number of reasons. Hybrid cloud environments suit those competing needs, and our partners are helping us customize solutions for customers’ specific goals.”

Among SHI’s various divisions, Public Sector revenue jumped 22 percent, Commercial and Strategic Enterprise grew by 20 percent, and Corporate and SMB rose 18 percent year over year. SHI France led all international divisions with 20 percent year-over-year growth
