SHI Shatters Revenue Records with $4.6 Billion in Revenue for the First Half of 2018

Every division, top partners, and AWS services all exceeded 20 percent growth as SHI prepares for further expansion

SOMERSET, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--SHI International Corp., one of North America’s top 10 largest IT solutions providers, hit a record $4.6 billion in revenue for the first half of 2018, shattering last year’s record by 21 percent. The growth came from across the organization, as every division, top partners, and AWS services all achieved double-digit jumps year over year. At the same time, SHI crossed other milestones, including breaking ground on SHI Austin’s future home.

SHI’s Public Sector division led growth, with a 26 percent rise over last year. The Commercial and Strategic Enterprise division and the Corporate and SMB division both grew 22 percent year over year. France led international sales with 50 percent growth.

Microsoft, Dell, HP Inc., and Cisco—SHI’s top four partners —all grew at least 23 percent over the same period last year, while Adobe, Apple, and Symantec—three other top 10 partners—rose at least 20 percent. Among SHI’s emerging partners, Palo Alto led the way, growing 162 percent year over year.

SHI’s investment in obtaining additional AWS technical certifications and expanding its AWS services over the past 12 months led to 62 percent year-over-year growth in AWS revenue in the first half of 2018. SHI achieved Managed Service Provider Partner status from AWS in October 2017, followed by VMware Cloud on AWS certification in March, with further certifications soon to be announced.

For the first time, SHI topped 4,000 employees during the first half of 2018 as it continued aggressive hiring to support growth. SHI is planning for further expansion, breaking ground on its Garza Ranch project, which will be SHI Austin’s new headquarters as of January 2020.
